I, Curtis Jamison, a young man from Tunica, Mississippi, am a true testimony of what God can do with a life that was lost in sin and on the way to a Devil’s Hell. I once didn’t have a hope. My Mother died in my arms and I had no sense of direction. I had in my mind after my Mother’s death to kill a lot of people that always talked about, lied on and criticized me. My Mother’s last words to me were, “They put something in my drink.” My mind went blank, and I wanted to kill women, children and anyone that I thought might have had a part in her death. I was a walking time bomb and I knew nothing about the Church of God. I heard about a man named Brother Webber, who didn’t allow his children to watch TV. I met him on April 24th and told him I wanted to be Saved. A couple of days later on the 26th, I met Pastor Eddie Hodges of the Church of God in Joliet, IL while he was in Tunica for a funeral. I was introduced to him, and I told him about my desire for Salvation. When he, Brother Webber, Brother Jesse Glover, and Brother Willie Williams prayed with me, I asked God to forgive me for all of my sins and He delivered me right then from alcohol, cocaine, whiskey, beer, marijuana, whore-mongering, shacking and having women take care of me, and gambling. I had been drinking two cases of beer and snorting a half ounce to an ounce of coke a day. I have not been to any rehab, AA, or any other type of place. All it took was getting on my knees asking God to forgive me and I have been walking as a new creature in Christ for almost 4 years now, and am free from all sin. When I got saved I couldn’t even read. I had spent 12 years in school and 2 years in college, but never learned how. Since getting saved, God has taught me how to read his Word. I love this life, I love being clean and in my right mind, and I love knowing that I can get on my knees and pray to God and know that He hears and will answer me. There is no better way to live than as a saved man of God, and I wouldn’t trade this life for all the riches in the world. I have a made up mind to serve God, and to follow Him wherever He leads me. I mean by his grace to follow Him and make heaven my home. That will be my reward, and if I keep walking in His light, I will have my mansion in the sky! GO AND SIN NO MORE! Curtis did!
